Nearly 40% of houses we go to to reglaze a tub need to be stripped of the p

jobs paint just to get started. Why? Because there is a LOT!!! of crappy workmanship
in this industry. There are numerous suppliers of bathtub industrial materials and not any will do the same thing or give the same look. Most
refinishers don't even know whether they're using an epoxy, acrylic, or water based
material.
It's frustrating to be undercut by fly by night refinishers that can convince some
homeowner that what they offer is the same as anyone else'. Flaking and/or peeling of a glazed surface is only a homeowner's worst worry.
But what about the way the refinished surface looks and feels? Flakes from unclean material hose lines can make your tub bumpy and
raspy as well as dull or orange peal feeling.
Each tub HAS TO be acid etched and cleaned or whatever material goes
on it will flake off. EVERY tub has to be primed so that the surface is smooth and
prepped for an acrylic top coat allowing smoother form. So when you put into account
necessary cleaners, priming, acid etching, masking paper, tape, razor blades, top
coats, sanding paper etc... BELIEVE ME!!!! if someone is charging you less than $200
they are making shortcuts. They may be skipping the acid etch step or not priming. Or
maybe they only give two light top coats, just enough to cover and make it look good
but won't hold well.
Every bathtub we glaze gets 5.5 mm thick of material. And this process does not take
no 3o minutes to an hour. On average, a tub will take 2 1/2 to 3 hrs to reglaze from
start to finish. For what we offer, you can't beat the price. you can get
cheaper...but only in the short run. Ask about the process when discussing
your tub with a glazer. You deserve good
workmanship so don't sell yourself short. We offer a ten year limited warranty
against flaking and/or peeling and a wonderful finish. Just look at the pictures and
